Description: The plot for this little known adventure classic has a floating aerodrome being constructed in the middle of the Atlantic to be used as a strategic refueling spot for aircraft. Saboteurs, however, have made their own plans to destroy the project before it's completion. This cinematic jewel is really a high-class German/British production based on a story by future director Curt Siodmak and originally released under the title F.P. 1 Antwortet Nicht, or F.P. 1 Doesn't Answer. The film's massive sets and state-or-the-art (for 1933) special effects probably add more to it's attraction than it's story and characterizations do, but it's still an impressive little lost classic. Among the scriptwriters were Walter Reisch and Robert Stevenson, who also later became directors. Released in the U.S. by Fox Studios in 1933.
